Plan. The Plan promotes choice via three different medical care options; two different
levels of pharmacy coverage; dental coverage; a comprehensive wellness program as
well as 100% coverage for preventative care. One of the options includes a High
Deductible Health Plan Option which meets the criteria for establishing a Health
Savings Account if an employee desires.
Furniture Brands encourages tax effective methods of paying for out of pocket healthcare
and dependent care expenses with pretax dollars through our Flexible Spending Plan.
Additional benefits generally include: Basic Life Insurance/Optional Life Insurance/Dependent
Life Insurance/Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance/Optional Accidental
Death and Dismemberment Insurance/Short Term Disability Benefits/Long Term Disability
Insurance and Travel Accident Insurance Benefits.
Furniture Brands offers a generous 401(k) Savings Plan. Eligibility is immediate
upon hire. We match $1.00/$1.00 on the first 3% in contributions and .50/$1.00 on
the next 3% in contributions. Some employees may be restricted to contributing a
lesser contribution percentage due to IRS deduction limitations.
