What is INTERCO, Inc?
INTERCO is Furniture Brands International's predecessor. The company was founded as the International Shoe Company in 1921. In 1966 the company changed its name to INTERCO, Inc. and in 1996 INTERCO changed its name to Furniture Brands International.

I have stock in INTERCO, Inc. Is it worth anything?
If the certificate is dated on or after August 3, 1992, it is actively trading as Furniture Brands International common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol FBN. If it is dated on or before August 2, 1992 it is no longer a valid equity instrument and has no value. Please reference our International Securities document for further information.

Contact the American Stock Transfer and Trust Company — the company’s transfer agent (800-937-5449). You should request an “Affidavit of Loss” and for a minimal fee can have your certificate replaced.
